Our Mission & Vision

The mission of Lumberport Baptist Church is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.

Leadership:

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to equip the believers for the work of the ministry until we all attain maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Chad Hutson,  Pastor

Pastor Chad was called to the Lumberport Baptist Church in June of 2007. He is licensed and ordained through the WV Baptist Convention. He has been in the Pastorate for many years, serving in Local Baptist Churches.
 

Kim Hurt, Secretary

Kim Hurt serves as the secretary of the church. She is a member of the Youth Ministry Team and also heads the women’s ministry, WinGS: Women in God’s Service.
 

Chris & Stacy Swiger, Youth Ministry

Chris & Stacy Swiger were called to Lumberport Baptist Church in 2008. They served in Youth Ministry for several years before Chris became head of the Youth Ministry Team. The team consists of: John & Kim Hurt, Brenda Fortney, and Ramona Swiger.
 
 
Stephanie Thorne, Children’s Church
Stephanie was called to Lumberport Baptist Church to serve as head of the Children’s Ministry. She, along with her husband, work in tandem with the ministry team: Robert & Michele Gifford, and Michelle Hutson.
